A New 13 day Wavespell in the Mayan Sacred Calendar

What does it mean for us?

The wave of the White Worldbridger carries with it some interesting and multi-layered energy over the next 13 days. Historically represented in Mayan culture by the symbol of the death skull, its primary message is to remind us that there is only a thin dividing line between this life and the afterlife; between an ending and a new beginning; between death and renewal.

Look at the image that has been mindfully created for this blog. An eye is closed in what appears to be the profile of a human face; within it a portal marked with the shape of a cross offers access to the afterlife or to an alternate dimension. Down the centre of the image, a dividing line, a timeline, offers us a gateway from the temporal world to the eternal one, from our current reality to a new state of existence. This new reality (notice the thriving forest of trees) offers verdant pastures on which our creativity and new way of thinking can grow and flourish. These two realities can only co-exist if we truly understand the process of renewal that separates them. The entire image is reminiscent of the yin yang symbol, reminding us that life is a delicate balance, an eternal flowing dance of stagnation and release.

I am currently reading ‘The Zahir’ by Paulo Coelho, an author I’m sure familiar to many of you reading this blog. I have read many of his books but this one seemed different somehow. In it he writes; “In order for the true energy of love to penetrate your soul, your soul must be as if you had just been born”. The writer suggests that many of us are prisoners of our own personal stories, of our own history which often only reveals to us the extent of our suffering and unhappiness. We are not our stories. The line in the image shows us that we can change our reality in a heartbeat; we only have to change our way of thinking, release everything that no longer serves us and step into a place of peace and freedom.

In this wavespell, long-standing relationships coming to an end, lifelong careers reaching closure, or the leaving behind of everything known and safe to emigrate to another country will not be unusual and whilst these can feel like ‘mini deaths’ in themselves, they are nonetheless liberating and allow us to fill these outworn spaces with grace and new possibilities. The astrology this month as the New Moon heralds in Gemini energy also suggests new beginnings, as well as infusing us with the energy to be more curious about life and what it can potentially hold for us.

Worldbridger teaches us that physical death is merely a part of life and whilst we are alive and well and living this earthly existence that we need to explore any fears we might have about this very natural process. Life is a cycle, if nothing dies, nothing can be born. Everything is part of the cycle of life; death is merely one of its faces. This next 13 days wave may well stir up an interest in you to learn ‘mediumship’, therefore finding a reputable development circle with strong authentic leadership is starred. We are all capable of fine tuning our ear to the whisperings of our ancestors, to the comforting messages of those we have loved and lost and to the subtle nuances of Angels and guides.

In addition, this energy is very supportive of ‘Death/Funeral Celebrant’ & ‘Soul Doula’ work; and in helping others come to terms with loss. I personally believe that many people are looking to a more highly personal approach to the funeral process, as well as wanting more emotional support when faced with terminal illness for example … and that this kind of work is going to be much in demand in the future.

The colour associated with Worldbridger is forest green and is a reminder to us to seek out the nurture and sustenance of the earth and the beauty of our natural surroundings. Life is about ‘balance’ and we can indeed find balance by being outdoors, in wide green open spaces. Separating ourselves from the dramas of human activity in exchange for contemplation and solitude is preferred during a Worldbridger wave.

The key word for the next 13 days is ‘Surrender’. What is it you need to surrender or give up in your life? Surrender is freedom. This wave is asking you to surrender to all that stops you moving forward. Never be afraid to start over…

In a sense there is also a metaphorical letting go; if you are overly affected or concerned in the light of current political dramas or global uncertainty, let go of any fears that are media driven. Breathe into life itself and remove any challenges or obstacles from your life that limit you from fully embracing what it is that you really want! Come out of comfort zone and welcome opportunities that find you and know that the universe has a grand plan for all of us. When we surrender from trying to force things in a certain direction or a certain way, amazing experiences find us; have faith and relax in the knowledge that the universe knows exactly what you need and is supporting you!
