The Mayan Sacred Calendar
(An ancient template for a modern age)
The Mayan Sacred Calendar (The Tzolkin) is a multi-faceted template that the ancients knew and understood - a calendar that is literally ‘in synch’ with the source of the universe. Based on the movement of the earth around the sun, as well as the moon around the earth and the movement of the stars, encoded within it are the natural 13 Moon cycles that make up a solar year. When we align ourselves with the calendar and come to understand that the number thirteen is the most sacred number in existence, we begin to experience time with the same fluidity as the ever-flowing cycles of nature. We literally walk in step with nature and as such, we are actively ‘co-creating’ with the universe. In Mayan Cosmology, there are 20 solar seals or glyphs, each having its own unique characteristics. Following on after each other, the seals offer a sequence of evolution, none more or less important than the other and each complementary to the other. Each of us has a seal corresponding to the day we were born and in it is contained all the qualities of the soul. You can think of it as if it were the cloak or
mantle you put around yourself at birth, prior to embarking on your journey here on earth. Working with the energy of the seals, Mayan Cosmology becomes a powerful tool for personal growth and can offer new ways of looking at yourself and the world. The Maya taught us that time is not linear, that we are all moving in a vast sea of consciousness and that we are all connected.

I have been a dedicated teacher of the Mayan Cosmology for 20 years. Initially using it as a tool for meditation and guidance, I soon realised its potential to not only awaken the ‘magical child’ within, but also its power to unlock the energies of your personal chart towards self - empowerment.
Knowing and understanding your Mayan sign under which you were born renders insight into yourself and what you, as a soul, are doing here. It offers a gateway or portal that can be used to discover different aspects of your being.
