What does it mean and What’s in store for us?

We enter the wavespell of the Red Magnetic Skywalker on 16th May 2025. It’s one of my favourite Mayan names attributed to the ‘Seals’ in the 20 solar sequence, reminiscent of the Star Wars Movies and conjuring up images of the exploits of the Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker himself! And in actuality, Skywalker is associated with space. This wave for the next thirteen days reminds us that we embody the life force energy of the universe within us. Our life here on earth is of our choosing and we can live it in the shadows, never venturing beyond our comfort zone, or we can see life as a mysterious journey, constantly in motion and moving forward fearlessly and with ease.

Look at the arresting image included in this blog just for a moment. Two Mayan pillars stand tall and erect. They have their foothold on the surface of the Earth, but they are reaching skyward towards the vastness of the cosmos, the galactic centre awash with planets and stars like a never-ending planetarium for us to experience… if we really open our eyes! And what of the ‘gap’, the central space between, oozing golden light? Follow the metaphor for a moment… Imagine yourself being poised upon the earth within that gap, see it as a gateway, one foot on the Earth’s steady and rooted surface and then in a heartbeat you let go in total surrender, launching yourself into the boundless mysteries of space. Skywalker energy embraces this leap in a heavenwards direction, knowing that gravity will pull us back; but knowing also that what we experience in the interim, in that quantum ‘leap of faith’ are blissful moments of boundless exploration and ‘connection’. This is the sign that teaches us to truly create our ‘heaven here on earth’. We begin to see ourselves as part of ALL.

"When you reach for the stars, you are reaching for the farthest thing out there. When you reach deep into yourself, it is the same thing, but in the opposite direction. If you reach in both directions, you will have spanned the universe." - Vera Nazarian

In this wavespell if you feel moved to buy a telescope or engage in some star gazing activities, you will have the wind at your back with this expansive energy! Much is being researched and recorded on a daily basis regarding our universe and space exploration seems to have taken on a whole new meaning in recent times. The rocket launching rate is growing day by day! Whilst on the one hand I am all in favour of progress and discovery, we can’t underestimate the impact on our environment, nor the atmospheric pollution from space debris alone. But a domestic telescope to star gaze is not going to add to our planets problems and if you find a dark observatory around where you live (like near open countryside and away from street lighting etc), who knows what breath-taking array of celestial bodies you may witness!

Skywalker is also represented in Mayan culture by ‘Cane’. Bamboo canes grow sturdy and upright, drawing upon the sustenance of the earth for vitality and growth. Cane was nurtured and revered by the ancients for its ability to grow so rapidly toward the sun and for its multi-functional uses, not least for the construction of dwellings, within the community. The message for this wavespell is clear; Skywalker is concerned with both the ‘grounding of spirit’ and the evolution of our human selves through exploration and pushing our own boundaries.

If we fall into the shadow aspect of Skywalker over the next thirteen days, we may stagnate, suddenly develop irrational fears of the unknown and of moving our lives forward. The recent Scorpio Full Moon with all its potency might well have exacerbated those fears! What grand plans did you have that you might have put on the back burner for no rhyme or reason? Can they be revitalised into action? Maybe you have adopted an unhealthy desire for isolation and retreat of late. Come out of the shadows and your own ‘comfort zone’; seek to ‘push the boundaries ‘a little, in your work, travel and personal life. This is a delicate balance. If you spend your life withdrawing from the outside world or unfamiliar places, you will deny who you are in essence. You are being called to look at life as a ‘sacred journey’ and draw the light of compassion and courage into yourself.

Astrologically Mercury in Taurus squares Mars in Leo on May 18th. This concerns us with our identity and how we communicate in the world. Taurus is known for its routine and steadfastness whilst Leo offers the impulsivity and action we need to push ideas forward. This could be a blessing of planetary energy in a Skywalker wave is you feel like you have been treading water of late.

“When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds. Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person, a more adventurous spirit, than you ever dreamed to be.” Patanjali

The bottom line, Skywalker energy encourages you to become the ungrounded dreamer for a brief spell. People who have this energy in their galactic chart are the ‘walkers between worlds’. They can appear to be ‘daydreaming’ but actually they are so rooted in the earth at the same time, they make excellent channelers for angelic communication and for being able to truly listen to the heartbeat of the earth and the pulse of the universe at the same time.

Recently I had the good fortune to visit Kerdroya with a friend of mine. Kerdroya is the beautifully created ‘Labyrinth’ vision of Will Coleman and located near Coliford Lake, Bodmin. Now a piece of permanent art, celebrating the beauty of Cornish stone hedgerows it is the ideal location for experiencing this ‘dual connection’ that I have just described. There was a moment of silence and stillness so poignant and acute, that all that could be heard was birdsong. In the aftermath, following this visit, both my friend and myself have found ourselves subject to the ‘Labyrinth effect’ – an acute sensitivity to environmental noises! Visiting somewhere like this; or even a bird sanctuary; stone circle; forest or woods, or just losing yourself in the vast countryside is a great place to connect with both worlds during this wave.

Crystals to work with (and where available may be purchased from the website) are Pink Kunzite; Rose Quartz; Rhodonite; Obsidian Sheen; Labradorite; Moldavite; Smithsonite; Pink Opal; Lapis Lazuli.

Happy Skywalker Wavespell!

Jacky.
